Inside Salesperson

An established, growth oriented, global commercial aircraft parts trading and distribution organization in the San Fernando Valley, seeks an Inside Sales Support/Customer Service person for our New Products Division.  This position receives telephone requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from domestic customers, original equipment manufacturers, and distributors.
Job Duties:

• Uses in-house database to retrieve customer information, stock status information, purchase order status, and to make changes to purchase orders. Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information.

• Follows up on inquires by checking database for delivery information.  Handles the needs of sales representatives and customers.

• Makes price quotations immediately by phone on price book times.  Prepares forms for price quotations on items not contained in price book.

• Maintains files of active orders and posts activity such a change notices, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes.

• Manages time effectively, meets personal goals and works with other members of the sales and marketing team. Follows company policies and procedures.

• Presents a professional image at all times and performs other duties as assigned.

Education /Experience:

• Typing skills (40-50 WPM) required, Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Previous background should include a demonstrated ability to deal with customers.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college desirable.
• Must be fluent in English; other languages are an asset.
• Knowledge of commercial aircraft parts and nomenclature a plus.
